Hours:
Open weekdays (Monday-Friday) from 7:30am- 3:30pm.
Book Checkout
  • Kindergarten and 1st Grade students may check out 1 book at a time.

  • 2nd grade students may check out 2 books at a time. One book can be a chapter book, and the other book should be a non-chapter book.

  • Books can be checked out for a maximum of 2 weeks per checkout. (Books may be renewed after the 2 week period if the student needs more time to finish reading the book.)

  • High-demand or extremely popular books may have a renewal limit at the discretion of the library staff.

Book Care
  • Students should store their books in their bookbags when the book is not being read.

  • Keep all books away from water to prevent molding. Water bottles in bookbags can leak, so be sure to keep them separate.

  • Turn pages carefully so that they do not rip or tear.

  • Please use a bookmark to hold your place in a book. "Dog-earing" (folding down the corners of a page) will damage the pages and it will eventually rip.

  • If books are damaged accidentally, please notify the library staff upon returning. We will never be mad at you if you tell the truth!

Book Repair/Replacement Policy

If a book is lost  or damaged beyond repair, the student will be charged the price of the book and/or repair. We use fees to replace the books in the library that have been damaged so that students can continue to enjoy them.

Please assist us in showing our students that responsibility is important! Thank you for your understanding.

Reconsideration Policy

Book challenges must go through a formal process beginning with filling out a Reconsideration Form. The media committee will then review the challenge and make a decision.

Requests & Donations

Consideration File

The library staff will take requests for books, periodicals, magazines, or other resources to be added to the media center collection. Requests will be put in a consideration file and orders will be filled when and if funds become available.

Donations

We enjoy book donations! Any books appropriate for our collection can be cataloged and added for checkout. We also have several reading promotion programs such as the Annual Book Swap, Books-in-a-Bag, and the Leveled Book Room. Books that are not used at our school will be passed along to other schools and/or the local public library. We would love to accept any gently used books that you have to offer!
